Major behavioral risk factors for road traffic injuries

Introduction. Road traffic injuries are a major public health problem, ranking 8th in the leading causes of death and forecasted to rank 5th by 2030 worldwide. Children, pedestrians, cyclists elderly remain among those most at risk road injuries.
 Material methods. A specialized literature search was conducted within main international databases, including: PubMed/MEDLINE, Google Scholar, Research Gate, using set inclusion criteria. Data from references were extracted systematically into results tables, author/citation, study design, assessments/data, limitations, key facts. Reported outcomes compiled narrative form.
 Results. Many researchers scientists both country abroad have studied injuries. Authors studies used different methods obtained obvious data about traumas factors. Among unintentional motor vehicle excessive speed, alcohol consumption while driving, mental disorder, drugs, unsupervised children. There is an increasing incidence children, crashes involving children occur May-September, between 11.00 18.00. The motivate need this topic depth, on separate age groups, propose specific prevention measures for each actor involved.
 Conclusions. many factors, which contributes related injuries, but requires multisectoral involvement.
